Neil Gaskell MSyI - Director

As a Civilian Expert for the UK Government’s Stabilisation Unit, Neil specialises in capacity building, testing & exercising, command & control, interoperability, counter terrorism and security compliance. In addition, Neil has trained several foreign organisations in Behavioral Detection techniques, as well as representing the UK Government as a Subject Matter Expert at the European Commission, in relation to ‘Cooperation Between First Responders At The Disaster Scene’.

Neil has a proven record of achievement with 30 years’ experience as a senior Fire Officer, working at all levels of command and control. He is respected nationally across the blue light emergency services and was, due to his experience and knowledge, seconded to the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT) within the UK Home Office as the National Marauding Terrorist Attack Programme Coordinator. Within this role Neil was responsible for the production of national doctrine regarding response, plus the management and coordination of the national emergency services mutual aid. During this time, Neil worked closely with the National CT Exercise Team in order to enhance plans and doctrine, which included providing written feedback for senior Civil Servants and Ministers.

As a professional and experienced practitioner, Neil draws upon his experience in training to address issues of preparedness and ongoing improvement. Along with his crisis management background and proven stakeholder engagement ability, Neil is able to work collaboratively at all levels and offer constructive advice, tailored to meet organisational needs.
